RTR-5W for Windows Software Update Procedure
In the explanation where an (XXX) appears, the actual software version name and number will appear. Please read using the name and number of the appropriate software.
Important Notice before carrying out an Update

The software you need depends upon what type of wireless communication method is being used. Please make sure to download the correct version for the product you are using.

This program can only be run using either Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP （above SP2), Windows Vista or Windows 7. Operations cannot be carried out using any other platform (operating system).

When carrying out the Update, please make sure to use an account which has Administrator Rights.

If an older version of RTR-5W for Windows is installed, please uninstall it first.
Updating Procedure

After downloading the Update Program, double click on the file [app_rtr5wwin-XXX-jpn.exe] to start the installation process.

Install the Update Program by following the instructions as they appear on the screen.
How to Confirm that the Update has been Successful

From the [Start] menu, select "RTR-5W for Windows" to run RTR-5W for Windows.

After RTR-5W for Windows is running, in the [Help] menu, select [Version Info].

The following Version Info window will appear.
If the version number which appears in the red box is the same as the one which you downloaded, the update was a success.

Troubleshooting
Q1: If I don't have administrator rights to install software, what will happen?
A: It is necessary to have Administrator Rights to install this application into Windows. Please check that the User which is logged in now has Administrator Rights to install software. Depending upon the layout of your computer system, it may be necessary to consult with the system manager about Administrator Rights before carrying out the installation.
Q2: The Update Program quits during the installation, what is wrong?
A: It is more than likely that for some reason the update program is not running properly. Please try re-starting Windows and then try running the program again, or try uninstalling from the Windows' Control Panel [Add or Remove Programs] any version of RTR-5W for Windows that is already installed and try installing the Update Program again.
