TR-7W for Windows Software Update Procedure
In the explanation where an (XXX) appears, the actual version name and number will appear. Please read using the name and number of the appropriate version.
Important Notice before carrying out an Update
1. This program can only be run using either Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP (above SP2), Windows Vista or Windows 7. Operations cannot be carried out using any other platform (operating system).
2. When carrying out the Update, please make sure to use an account which has Administrator Rights.
3. If an older version of TR-7W for Windows is installed, please uninstall it first.
Please note that if the update software is not installed into the same folder as the former version, prior data will not be able to be displayed.
Updating Procedure
1. After downloading the Update Program, double click on the file [app_tr7wwin-XXX-all.exe] to start the installation process.
2. Install the Update Program by following the instructions as they appear on the screen.
How to Confirm that the Update has been Successful
1. From the [Start] menu, select "TR-7W for Windows" to run TR-7W for Windows.
2. After TR-7W for Windows is running, in the [Help] menu, select [About TR-7W Setting Utility...].
3. The following Version Info window will appear.
If the version number which appears in the red box is the same as the one which you downloaded, the update was a success.
Troubleshooting
Q1: If I don't have administrator rights to install software, what will happen?
A: It is necessary to have Administrator Rights to install this application into Windows. Please check that the User which is logged in now has Administrator Rights to install software. Depending upon the layout of your computer system, it may be necessary to consult with the system manager about Administrator Rights before carrying out the installation.
Q2: What should I do if the updating stops while in progress?
A: It is more than likely that for some reason the update program is not running properly. Please try re-starting Windows and then try running the program again, or try uninstalling from the Windows' Control Panel [Add or Remove Programs] any version of TR-7W for Windows that is already installed and try installing the Update Program again.
