WDR-3 Firmware / Script Update Procedure
In the explanation where an (XXX) appears, the actual version name and number will appear.Please read using the name and number of the appropriate version.
Important Notice before carrying out an Update
* All recorded data stored in the WDR-3 will be erased when you execute the update.
* When carrying out the Update, please make sure to use an account which has Administrator Rights.
* This program can only be run using either Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP (above SP2) , Windows Vista or Windows 7. Operations cannot be carried out using any other platform (operating system).
* It is necessary that the WDR-3 Logger to be updated and the computer that will be used for executing the update be connected to the same local network. WDR-3 Loggers that are connected using a router to an outside network, such as the Internet, will not be updated properly, even though the program is executed correctly.
* If "WDR-3 for Windows" is running, please make sure to quit and close it before starting this update.
* During the updating process, make sure not to turn off the power to the WDR-3. The Logger may not continue to operate properly.

Updating Procedure
STEP1
After downloading the Update Program, double click on the file [app_wdr3update-XXX-eng-all.exe] to start the installation process.
STEP2
Once the screen as shown below appears, in the area outlined in red enter the address (IP address or Domain Name) in the [Address] text box for the WDR-3 that is to be updated and in the [Login ID] and [Password] text boxes enter the registered Administrator ID and Password.

Click the [Update] button to execute the Update Program for the firmware and script.
The update should take about 3 to 10 minutes to complete.

* During the updating process, do not carry out any changes to WDR-3 settings or any data downloading.

* If communication errors with the WDR-3 are already occurring, the update may result in failure due to timing problems; retry several times until the update completes successfully.

STEP4
When the [Update completed] message appears, the update has been successfully completed. Click the [OK] button.

How to Confirm that the Update has been Successful
For Updating the Script
Access the WDR-3 via web browser and at the bottom of the page confirm the version of script. If the version number which appears is the same as the one which you downloaded, the update was a success.
Troubleshooting
Q1: The update stopped while in progress, what should I do?
A: If during the update, the program stops and does not resume for 10 or more minutes, click the [Close] button to quit the program.
