Installation Procedure

  1. Double-click the update package to extract it to your hard drive.
  2. Follow instructions in Set up Program.
  3. RTR500BW for Windows will automatically be installed on the Hard Disk.

  • When deleting a registered Remote Unit or Repeater from the Base Unit, the Remote Unit or Repeater is now initialized automatically.
  • Added a warning message that appears when you attempt to change the recording interval from the Remote Unit's Properties window, indicating that all recorded data will be deleted by applying the change.
  • Fixed some links which linked to previous model's Help (for RTR-500NW/AW).
  • Changed the spelling from "judgement" to "judgment" for Warning Judgment Time in Warning Settings.

  • Fixed the following problem that occurred in Ver.2.11 of RTR500BW for Windows.
    - When registering a Remote Unit to the RTR500BW via optical communication, abnormal program termination occurred by unplugging the USB cable before receiving a response from the Remote Unit.

  • Fixed a problem where the RTR500BW could not connect to T&D WebStorage Service when the Connection Destination was selected in HTTP Settings in the order of "T&D WebStorage Service" → "Custom" → "T&D WebStorage Service".
  • Added a function to display an error code when the signal strength test fails due to a timeout via LAN.
  • Added the software version info to the file output from [Output Log and Settings].
  • Lengthened the timeout for performing [Output Log and Settings].
  • Updated the Help file.

  • Changed the default setting of the Recorded Data Transmission Schedule from Every Day 6:00 to Every Day at an hour determined by the time of first communication between the Base Unit and the software via USB.
  • Fixed an issue that occurred when setting “Auto Transmission of Current Readings” to OFF, “Warning Monitoring” to ON, and “Warning Monitoring Interval” to 5 min for a RTR-500NW/500AW, “Monitoring Interval (of Current Readings)” was set to 1 min instead of 5 min.
  • Added the “RTR500BW + RTR-600 Setup Guide (PDF)” to the Start menu.
  • Updated the User’s Manual and Help file.

    • Changed the following menu names in the RTR500BW Settings Utility:
      - Main Window > Operation > “Get Base Unit Log” to “View Base Unit Log”
      - HTTP Settings > “HTTP” to “HTTP(s)” (The function itself remains the same.)
    • Fixed a problem that occurred when checking signal strength in “Auto” Wireless Route Settings, where “Would you like to retry?” message did not appear when wireless communication with RTR505B failed.
    • Updated the Settings Copy Tool from Ver.1.06 to 1.07.

  • The Settings Copy Tool application is now included in the software; it can be started from the launcher.
  • Fixed the following problems that occurred in the Signal Strength Test when the Wireless Route Setting was set to [Auto].
    ・Battery level warning message is not displayed correctly.
    ・The test sometimes ends in failure.
    ・The progress bar does not show the correct value when only the Repeater is selected for the test.
  • Changed some menu and setting names in the RTR500BW Settings Utility (before → after).

  • Corrected or changed some error messages to clarify the situation.
    ・Error indication when the connection to the server fails due to a TCP error (From error code to the ”TCP Session Error” message)
    ・Error message when attempting to register an unsupported Remote Unit (From “This Remote Unit is not compatible with the RTR-500W” to “This Remote Unit is not compatible.”)
  • Added a pop-up message to inform the user that the previously recorded data will be deleted by starting a new recording.
  • Added a pop-up message to prompt the user to review the Warning Settings when changing the Scale Conversion Equation for the Remote Unit for which Warning Monitoring has been set to ON.
  • Added the "Output Log and Settings" command to the Operation menu of the main window.
  • The HTTP Settings cannot be applied now without entering the HTTP Server (IP address) when “Custom” is selected in the Connection Destination box.
  • Added the “Low Speed Operation” setting (OFF/128/200/512Kbps) to the Network Settings.
  • Removed the “EUC-JP” option from the Character Encoding in the FTP Settings. It is now fixed to “UTF-8”.
